The Grove  

Dedicated to the memory of a very important member of the MRA family, Bud’s Grove is a special oasis here in Kernville. Canopied by a grove of native Cottonwood trees, this area provides comforting shade from the sun in the daytime. Come nighttime, the adorned trees twinkle with celebratory lighting. Listen to the river rushing by or any one of our four hundred bird species singing, creating a symphony of nature. Situated along the banks of the Kern River, our campground facility serves as a wonderful wedding, reception, party venue, retreat, wellness gathering or outdoor education classroom setting. 

 

The Grove is a popular event venue with the Kern River Valley locals and visitors, and when not reserved serves as our day use area for all camping guests.

Located in Kernville, CA just one hour east of Bakersfield, River’s Edge Campground and Retreat is very close to Los Angeles, San Diego, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, which makes us an ideal location for hosting your next outdoor event.
