Situated along the banks of the Kern River, at Kern River's Edge Campground Retreat, you will enjoy immediate river access for fishing, wading or whitewater rafting.  We also offer on-site horseshoes, shuffleboard, and volleyball or can just relax in our shady Grove after a great day of adventures on the Kern River. The Curve, a public beach is a short walk from camp along our secret river trail!

Group Camping

At Kern River's Edge Campground Retreat we often play host venue to groups such as youth groups, outdoor education schools, church retreats, dual sport motorcycle clubs, and scout outings.  Our largest site is called Boulder Beach and holds up to 24 people. This site has an electrical hook-up, and we do allow two RV’s on this site for an additional fee of $25/night, per RV.  Boulder Beach may be our official group campsite, but this is not your only option for creating a group camp site. You can book blocks of Standard or Double sites or rent the entire facility!

Special Events
We are a campground and a special event venue, so while camping with us, you may notice The Grove or Bull Run Pavilion being utilized for special events like weddings, family reunions or group skits. We do our best to give plenty of notice to our camping guests about the timing of special events. Occasionally, the horseshoe pits or volleyball and shuffleboard courts will be closed for a few hours during a special event.
