1. Unal Trail
📍 30-minute drive from Kernville 📏 4.5 miles out-and-back
⬆️ Elevation gain: 775 feet
A hidden gem for panoramic views, the Unal Trail winds through incense cedar and blue oak forests, opening up to sweeping vistas of the Kern River Valley. It's moderately easy and shaded—perfect for families, beginners, or anyone who wants big views without a brutal climb.
